About Orchard Park

Situated in the heart of the South Downs National Park, we are a family-run farm producing beef, lamb, and pork. We are not in the business for commercial meat production; rather, we raise our animals for as long as it takes, allowing them to grow naturally in mixed pastures and meadow hay.
We predominantly produce Sussex cattle, a native breed that thrives on the rough grasslands farmed here for centuries.
This year, our whole beef herd will gain Organic status, proving our commitment and dedication to the production of high-quality, ethically rooted meat.
No fertilisers or growth hormones are ever used to speed up any aspect of production.
Humble Beginnings
Established in 1995, the farm had humble beginnings, gaining its first flock by swapping a puppy for six sheep. Since then, the farm has grown steadily, with four brothers increasing the workforce. Orchard Park Farm currently supports 150 head of cattle and 300 breeding ewes.
Having studied at the agricultural university of Harper Adams, my brother Joe has taken on the full-time role of lead herdsman and Shepherd. Help is, however, always on hand from both the local community and the rest of the family.
The farm has recently expanded with new tenancies on the Bignor Estate, now covering over 1,000 acres of a multitude of varied pastures, woodland and heathland.
On which we practice both 'Land Sharing' and 'Land Sparing'. In our acres dedicated to land sharing, we actively make space for nature to flourish alongside our farming practice.
We protect natural areas, promoting biodiversity and a healthy relationship with the soil. We carefully manage grazing patterns, cut meadow hay to suit insect populations, plant mixed herbal lays and never use chemical fertilisers.

Orchard Park Meats was born out of a passion for the food industry and a belief in the importance of high-quality, real foods.
Having grown up with the privilege of farm-fresh meat, we would like to offer local people the chance to share this love, whilst reducing food miles, and supporting ethically rooted farming practices.
We take pride in our farm-to-table approach, offering transparency and a personal touch to every interaction.
Our mission is to share our passion and provide a unique, flavorful experience for meat enthusiasts.

A counterproductive argument, however, one that is critical to the mission of this small business. We aim to reduce consumers' overall quantity of red meat consumption whilst improving the quality of consumption.
